The internship program provides field experience in a library/archives setting under the supervision of a professional librarian. This course is available to classified LIS graduate students only. Students must first obtain approval from their advisers and apply for and be admitted into a position before registration. Prerequisite: LIS 601

Individualized program of directed reading and/or research outside the scope of regularly titled courses. Enrollment requires approval before end of previous semester, with specification of goals, work requirements, number of credits, rationale. Repeatable unlimited times, credit earned up to six credits.
